Before we get to what individuals can actually do, it is worth establishing what will not work. Because a significant portion of the corporate response to the burnout crisis has been to offer things that feel like solutions but address none of the causes.

The gap between what companies offer and what would actually help is not a resource constraint. The interventions that work — workload reduction, genuine autonomy, belonging, flexible working — are available to any organisation willing to restructure how it operates. What You Can Actually Do (As an Individual, Right Now)
